During last weekend’s episode of 90 Day Fiance, Ariela Weinberg’s ex-husband reentered the picture.
Leandro is a mild-mannered man and the divorce was amicable, but Biniyam is insecure about their friendship.
In the promo for the next episode, Leandro happens to be there when Ari gives Biniyam some news.
She is not feeling well. She is nauseated. Leandro is the first to ask: is she pregnant again?
The promo for Season 9, Episode 12 of 90 Day Fiance had already reached the credits portion when Ari and Bini show up.
Biniyam and Leandro are hanging out in the living room, chatting.
Cute little Avi is there, too, when Ariela walks in.
To phrase this as diplomatically as possible, Ariela is visibly not feeling well.
Her fiance and her ex-husband can instantly tell that something is wrong.
(And, let’s be honest, it’s possible that they knew that she was feeling out of sorts, and called over the cameras to capture the moment)
So what exactly is wrong?
As you can hear in the video below, she reveals that she has been feeling nauseated.
One particular cause comes to mind — and viewers are not the only ones thinking it.
Leandro is the one to ask when Ariela’s last period was.
While pregnancies vary (including some people giving birth without ever missing a period), that is usually a major indicator.
If Ariela is having morning sickness and has not menstruated recently, then pregnancy is a likely culprit.
Ariela understands Leandro’s question immediately.
We do not actually hear her answer.
However, this is one of those situations in which we do not have to be “body language experts” to figure out how she’s feeling.
Clearly, Ariela was unable to rule out that she might be pregnant.
With that in mind, the next scene shows her in the bathroom.
She is not the only Season 9 star who takes a pregnancy test during this season.
We do not get to see the results for ourselves during the promo.
That, of course, would be a spoiler. Shows are careful about when they do that.
In fact, this moment could be deeply misleading. Or it might not be. That’s why it’s a teaser.
While Ariela and the show keep us in suspense, viewers are not alone.
Biniyam is also anxious to find out the results.
He already has one kid with his ex-wife and one with Ari. Is Bini about to have a third child?
Obviously, we don’t get to hear what Ariela tells Biniyam.
Tensions are running high during the promo.
But there are clues that could potentially spoil how Episode 12 ends.
We should keep in mind that periods are not as simple as people imagine.
In fact, one common source of nausea can also change someone’s menstrual cycle: COVID-19.
While we hope that everyone filming was testing regularly, Ari might need to swap that pregnancy test for a COVID test.
There have been no reports of Ari and Biniyam having another kid together.
If Ari is pregnant, it has been an extraordinarily well-kept secret, which feels unlikely for this couple.
Meanwhile, reports have indicated that Kobe and Emily had another kid, that Kara and Guillermo were expecting, and that so are Patrick and Thais. Only time will tell.
