The NBA’s free agency period begins on Thursday, and while some teams are scrambling to create cap space, other franchises are looking to go the trade route in order to improve their rosters. One player seemingly available in trade talks is Dejounte Murray of the San Antonio Spurs. The 25-year-old is coming off his best season in which he put up career-highs in points, rebounds, assists, and steals, so San Antonio is rightfully asking for a haul of picks for the point guard. The team most often linked to Murray in talks is the Atlanta Hawks, as Murray and Trae Young have expressed a desire to team up in the ATL. So far, the teams haven’t been able to agree on the right package of picks and players, but with the NBA offseason about to kick in to full gear, don’t be surprised if Murray is a member of a new organization sooner rather than later.
