Meghan Markle visited a non-profit supporting girls and non-binary children during her trip to the Netherlands in April, it has emerged today.
The Duchess of Sussex, 40, who is now based in California with her two children Archie, three, and Lilibet, one, and her husband Prince Harry, was in the Netherlands to support the Duke at the 2022 Invictus Games.
In photographs shared online, a beaming Meghan wore an elegant £2,570 sand-coloured blazer from Chloé while captured speaking to children at Project Fearless in Amsterdam.
She made an appearance as a guest coach to give ‘inspiring and encouraging’ feedback on the young people’s sustainable business pitches during the group’s entrepreneurship course.
‘Today, Project Fearless – a Dutch non-profit serving girls and non-binary kids in Amsterdam – is celebrating three years by looking back at their major milestones, from launching a major documentary to a visit from Duchess Meghan,’ wrote Finding Freedom co-author Omid Scobie on Twitter.

For her outing, the mother-of-two sported a business-ready silk blazer, with pocket detailing and the sleeves rolled up, which she paired with a black top and matching trousers.
Adding a touch of glitz to her ensemble, Meghan teamed her cream blazer with a dazzling Cartier ‘Juste un Clou’ necklace – which costs a staggering £13,100.
The Duchess kept her hair down and added a smattering of glamorous makeup to her features for the secret engagement.
On its website, Project Fearless said it creates ‘an empowering, supportive atmosphere, giving kids space to play without the pressure of perfection, learn to celebrate each other’s falls and wins, while building their own resilience and self-confidence, experience varied leadership styles from accessible role models, and discover who they are on their own terms’.
It added that the group is ‘bridging gender gaps in Amsterdam and beyond with our unique programs for girls and non-binary youth, empowering today’s and tomorrow’s generations.’

Meghan was in the Netherlands in April to appear alongside Prince Harry at his Invictus Games 2022, with the couple appearing at a number of events together while attending the international multi-sport event.
The games, founded by the Duke, were first held in 2014, for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans.
Meghan’s visit to the entrepreneurship course was announced by the non-profit today. The Duchess said of her visit: ‘Safe, supportive spaces like Project Fearless allow girls the opportunity to express themselves, build each other up, gain resilience, and tackle new challenges.’
‘The Duchess’ visit was a brilliant way to celebrate the impact Project Fearless has made over the last three years, showing the girls truly accessible role models who are making a difference and using their voice,’ said Project Fearless founder, Mérida Miller.

One of the youngsters who met Meghan, Meesha, aged 12, added: ‘I can’t believe she shared her fears with me. For the rest of my life, if I’m ever scared or anyone ever makes me feel little, I’m gonna think “Whatever, you got this. Meghan said so!”‘
Hearing about 15-year-old Myrtle’s aim to become a Project Fearless Teen Mentor, the Duchess encouraged her and shared her experience of mentoring younger children as a teenager.
Myrtle said: ‘I have learnt about how important it is to be true to who you are and have confidence in that. To be fearless and to teach others that as well.’
Meghan has long been an advocate of women’s rights. In 2015, she became a United Nations Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership.
In April 2021, the duchess hosted a roundtable discussion with members of Girls Inc. and the National Women’s Law Centre.
Meanwhile, this year, for Women’s History Month, Meghan and Harry awarded grants through their Archewell foundation to four organisations trying to advance gender equality.
