After a turbulent first half of the year, which resulted in the S&P 500 entering a bear market, investors will get some time to catch their breath as a new quarter kicks off.
In honor of the Fourth of July holiday, U.S. stock markets will close two hours early on Friday at 2 p.m. EST. Markets will remain closed until Tuesday.
U.S.-based bond markets will also be closing at 2 p.m, three hours earlier than their typical 5 p.m. close. The bond market also will reopen on Tuesday.
