Though the special day was marred by ex Jason Alexander’s stalking and trespassing, the actual ceremony was a beautiful affair.
Still, some of Britney’s longtime fans — and a few trolls — still have questions about Sam’s intentions.
Hopefully, news about their ironclad prenup is enough to silence these rumors.
Months before Britney and Sam finally tied the knot, they were working out all of the details.
Britney’s unjust conservatorship delayed their wedding for years.
It gave them a lot of time to discuss things like the venue, the guests, and the prenup.
Formal prenup negotiations only began after the conservatorship ended.
As we previously reported, if they had begun the process sooner, Jamie Spears would have had a say in it.
No doubt he would say that he would have acted in her “best interests,” of course.
According to what sources tell TMZ, Britney and Sam’s prenup is pretty simple and ironclad.
Britney’s lengthy career has made her a living legend and a very wealthy woman.
None of the millions that she has amassed so far will be forfeit if she and Sam part ways.
Sam has previously joked that he wanted a prenup — to protect his shoe collection and his Jeep.
Prenuptial agreements are generally a good idea if you don’t want to gamble on state guidelines.
These laws can vary widely according to random geography. A prenup means making your own rules.
In previous generations, prenups were considered antithetical to romance.
We have all read stories of wealthy families strong-arming future in-laws into signing them.
However, prenups have enjoyed growing popularity among Millennials who marry.
Unfortunately, Sam has faced unfair scrutiny from some of Britney’s more extreme stans.
He is younger than Britney. He is ridiculously attractive. Was he just after her money?
In the past, some even asked if he was some sort of “agent” planted in her life by her nefarious father.
We hope that we do not have to explain how absurd these theories are.
A six-year relationship is a bit much for a con artist.
Very few scheming fathers come up with the idea of hiring a hot young model to seduce their daughters.
People have either been watching too many soap operas, or should try writing for one.
Besides, Sam has an extremely strong work ethic.
He genuinely loves Britney.
The two of them also take turns covering expenses like dinner, despite their wealth gap.
Some of the concerns for Britney came from a genuine place of love and worry.
Others were rooted in a paternalistic desire to control Britney, just as her father once did.
Sam genuinely deserves kudos for taking all of this suspicion in stride.
Loving Britney means putting up with her fans — fans who even irritate each other.
We remain so, so happy for these two. And we’re glad that Sam’s shoe collection is safe.
