Huma Abedin’s marriage to Anthony Weiner was a major dark cloud in the life of the high-powered political consultant.
So who better to help her move on from it than the star of Silver Linings Playbook!
Yes, according to a new report from E! News, the ex-Mrs. Weiner is dating actor, director, writer, and former Sexiest Man Alive Bradley Cooper.
“Upgrade” is an insufficient word for what Huma has achieved here.
It’s unclear when the relationship began, but it seems that these two might have been keeping their romance under wraps for quite some time.
Cooper and Abedin were both in attendance at the 2022 Met Gala in May, but they arrived at the event separately.
It’s possible that that’s where they met (no pun intended) — but it seems equally likely that they were already hooking up, and they worked the red carpet separately in order to throw the media off their trail.
We don’t want to speculate too much, since there’s no real way of knowing the truth here.
But look at the cryptic smile Huma was rocking that night.
If that isn’t the look of someone who’s been singing naked duets of “Shallow” while lying in bed next to B-Coop himself, we don’t know what is.
Cooper parted ways with model Irina Shayk back in 2019.
The exes share a five-year-old daughter together, and his love for his little girl is pretty much the only aspect of his personal life that Cooper discusses publicly.
“Every single thing is absolutely shaded or brought out in glorious colors by the fact that I get to be a father to a wonderful human being,” Cooper said during a recent podcast appearance.
“It’s just the absolute greatest thing.”
Huma and Bradley have doting parenthood in common — her marriage to Weiner produced a 10-year-old son named Jordan.
And that’s just about the only good thing to come out of it.
Weiner was sentenced to 21 months in prison after a jury found him guilty of transferring obscene materials to a minor.
It was not Weiner’s first “sexting” scandal, but it was the one that led Abedin to pull the plug on her marriage to the former congressman.
Weiner wound up serving 18 months, and will be forced to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
Abedin initially requested sole custody of their son, but she and Weiner have reportedly since worked out a more amicable arrangement.
In a rare interview about her personal life, Abedin, who served as deputy chief of staff to Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential campaign, stated that she’s “moved on” from the aptly-named Weiner scandals.
“I think for most of my adult life, certainly in the last 25 years that I’ve been in public service or in the public eye, I have been the invisible person behind the primary people in my life,” she said.
“But what I realize is that, if you don’t tell your story, somebody else is writing your history.”
Did we mention that Cooper is a considerable upgrade over Huma’s previous ex?
Because yeah, this is a glow-up of nearly unprecedented proportions.
