Emotional cruelty was a defining element of their toxic relationship, and it extended to their breakups.

In the summer of 2021, Ed’s beloved dog passed away.

Liz was heartbroken over Teddy’s death, and reached out to him.

The tragedy of Teddy’s passing was compounded — Liz and Ed not only got back together, but became engaged.
