When Chris Larangeira filed for divorce from Angelina Pivarnick last year, he cited irreconcilable differences as the cause for the split.
But it wasn’t long before the truth came out:
Angelina had cheated on Chris repeatedly, and with multiple partners.
Pivarnick’s affair with Luis “Potro” Caballero is the one that we’ve been seeing on the current season of Jersey Shore, but Chris claims she was also hooking up with a different dude for the entire two years of their marriage.
Chris opened up about the split during a recent TikTok live session, claiming that Angelina refuses to sign the divorce papers because she still wants to make their marriage work.
“She never signed the [divorce] papers,” Chris told his audience, according to The Ashley’s Reality Roundup.
“When you get married, you need two people to agree to it; when you get divorced, all you need is one. Even if you refuse to sign, the judge is officially gonna grant it, and then you’re gonna get divorced anyway,” he continued.
“And she never signed it, so the judge had to grant it … she never wanted to get divorced– I did.”
Chris went on to assure fans that he’s happier than ever these days, but he noted that he’s still in pain over the split.
“There’s some days that I cry, some days that it just hurts, ya know?” Chris said.
“But I’m human, I have a soul, unlike some people.”
“Just remember this, if I’m walking away from being on TV, I’m walking away from millions of dollars, I’m walking away from living in a mansion, I’m walking away from everything just for my sanity, then you know something’s up,” he went on.
“Why would I walk away from all of that? If things are not bad, why would I give everything up and walk away from it all? Sometimes your happiness is just more important.”
Larangeira concluded by dismissing Angelina’s claims that both exes cheated over the course of the marriage.
“So all this s–t she wants to f–king say is all cap,” Chris said. “I never cheated on her.”
Angelina later shot back on Instagram Live insisting that “all [Chris] does is lie and I’m at my breaking point.”
She went on to promise that she’ll post proof that Chris cheated on her with a mutual acquaintance whom she refused to identify by name.
It’s worth noting that more than 24 hours later, Angelina has yet to post that proof.
“This kid needs to go about his life and stop talking about me, seeing my friends out at places I go to and crying a sob story to them,” she continued.
“I signed the divorce papers!!!! Lol. He acts like I wanted to stay married to his double life ass Lol.”
Of course, Angelina already got caught lying to her castmates about her affair with Luis on the current season of Shore, so her credibility is not exactly through the roof at the moment.
She obviously has a larger audience and a bigger platform than Chris, so that should give her a distinct advantage.
But currently, it seems everyone is in agreement that in the court of public opinion, Chris is “winning” this divorce.
