Amy Duggar: Hinting at Pregnancy Amid Roe v. Wade Controversy?

For much of the past year, Amy Duggar enjoyed the support of people who are usually critical of her controversial family.

Much of that support evaporated last week when Amy expressed her support for the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

For some, it was a reminder that despite her criticism of some of the more famous Duggars, Amy shares her family’s ultra-conservative views.

Amy responded to the initial criticism, and many felt that she only dug herself a deeper hole in doing so.

“Think of how many babies our country has killed. You cannot tell me we haven’t killed the child that could have cured cancer or that could have had a chance to change the world,” Amy said by way of defending her comments.

“I get the anger, I get why people are in an uproar,” she continued, sounding very much like a politician who’s just lost the support of her base.

“I bet Roe vs Wade will cause riots, panic and more chaos. There has got to be a middle ground for this sensitive subject. Or something right?”

Yes, somewhat confusingly, Amy is now calling for compromise on an issue where there really is no middle-ground that will satisfy both sides.

And fans have been quick to call her out on her desperate back-pedaling.

“Her follow up tweet…is so, so laughable,” one user pointed out.

Amy Duggar, Looking Sad

“It’s the follow up tweet that shows she has zero understanding,”

A third pointed out that Amy has been profiting from her criticism of Josh Duggar, and she now seems fearful that the money will dry up.

“Wow so now you scam people and are celebrating the death of women in the United States. It’s time for you to be canceled!” this person observed.

Yes, Amy is really being put through the wringer at the moment, so perhaps it’s not surprising that she’s keen to change the topic.

On Wednesday, the mother of one posed for some pics with her husband and 3-year-old son.

And the post led to a new conversation — though perhaps not in the way that Amy intended.

“The last pic really sums it up,” Amy captioned the post.

Clearly, the idea here was merely to poke fun at the idea that Amy is perpetually exhausted by her duties as a mom.

But some commenters read much deeper into the post.

“I definitely thought this was going to be a pregnancy announcement!” one such follower wrote, according to UK tabloid The Sun.

“CUTEST FAM! Def thought this was a pregnancy announcement haha!” another added.

“I totally thought this was a pregnancy announcement…so cute though!!” a third person wrote.

“I so thought this was a pregnancy announcement,” a fourth chimed in.

Some fans are apparently still convinced that this was Amy’s cryptic way of saying she’s knocked up.

“It is a pregnancy announcement. His charge is lost over to Amy’s 10% and Amy is charging,” one person wrote.

“She’s pregnant. Congratulations”.

We’re not saying with 100 percent certainty that Amy is not pregnant — but if she wanted to announce her pregnancy, she would probably just do that.

But hey, at least she succeeded in getting fans to stop talking about her abortion stance … for now.
