The Las Vegas Aces signed point guard Kelsey Plum to a contract extension, the team announced Sunday. According to Rachel Galligan of Just Women’s Sports, the deal adds two years to Plum’s contract, tying her to the team until 2025.

“Kelsey Plum is a generational talent, and one of the hardest working athletes I have ever known,” Aces general manager Natalie Williams said in a statement. “Her preparation and work ethic are second to none. Kelsey has the ability to impact the game in so many facets, and with the great mentorship of coach Becky Hammon, she is proving herself to be one of the best guards in the WNBA. We are thrilled to re-sign her, and strengthen our incredibly talented core group.”

“I’m thrilled to remain with the Aces, and continue playing with my teammates and for our coaching staff,” Plum said. “I look forward to persisting in our journey to delivering a championship to Las Vegas.”

Plum, 27, is having a breakout season with the Aces, earning an All-Star nod for the first time in her career and winning All-Star MVP honors. Las Vegas is 17-7 this season and Plum is second in the WNBA in scoring with 20.2 points per game. She’s also contributing 5.5 assists and 3.0 rebounds, all career highs.

The Aces (then the San Antonio Stars) picked Plum first overall in the 2017 WNBA Draft. After scoring less than 10 points per game in her first three seasons, Plum averaged 14.8 points last year to lead the Aces to the WNBA Semifinals.
