The first offseason domino has fallen in Utah.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Quin Snyder would be stepping down as the head coach of the Utah Jazz after eight fairly successful seasons in Salt Lake City. The news is not sitting well with the team’s star player, three-time All-Star Donovan Mitchell. His mood has been described as “unsettled, unnerved and wondering what it means for the franchise’s future.” Both Mitchell’s and Rudy Gobert’s names have come up in trade talks over the last few years, but now with Snyder gone, the team might be more willing to move on from one of its superstars — meaning come next season, the Jazz may look nothing like the team we saw play under Snyder for nearly a decade.
