The Bachelorette Trailer: Season 19 is Gonna Be Unsettled! Unhinged!

Estimated read time 3 min read

THIS JUST IN, residents of Bachelor 19.

Things are about to get very dramatic!

That’s very unexpected, we know, but People Magazine just debuted a brand new trailer for The Bachelorette, providing fans of the franchise with their first real look at all the chaos to come.

And let’s be clear: There’s gonna be a lot of chaos!

In this preview for the upcoming season — which premieres July 11 at 8/7c on ABC — Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia quickly grow concerned about one of their aspiring husbands.

“I just got some information,” Rachel tells Gabby, stepping away from the men. “It’s really unsettling.”

Meaning what, exactly?

It’s unclear, but: “He’s unhinged,” Gabby later tells her fellow Bachelorette, alongside a clip of Rachel breaking down.

One doesn’t exactly need a giant BACHELORETTE SPOILERS ALERT warning just to learn that one of the guys could have a shady past.

We’re pretty sure that’s a pre-requisite just to apply to be a suitor.

In this case, the men themselves are apparently aware of the drama, however, with some saying they’re “ready to fight,” while acknowledging there’s a major “controversy” in the mansion.

Gabby and Rachel are about to embark on an historic journey, of course.

After getting snubbed by previous Bachelor Clayton Echard, the women were selected by producers in order to mix things up and in order to be in control of their own romantic journeys.

According to Nick Viall, though, such an arrangement was challenging to shoot.

“It was hell to film because they decided to have two Bachelorettes, like, last second. So the scheduling was for one Bachelorette. They had to jam it all in,” said the reality star on a recent podcast.

He added that a bulk of the season takes place on a cruise ship.

Back to the newest promo, meanwhile:

In the People Magazine-released footage, Gabby and Rachel express excitement over the possibility of finding forever love.

Windey, for example, opens the trailer by saying she “can’t believe this is my life right now,” before a voiceover from Rachel says she “thinks Gabby and I will get our happy ending.”

Still, it remains to be literally seen just how Season 19 will actually feature TWO female leads.

2 bachelorettes

The show’s creator, Mike Fleiss, previously stated that Gabby and Rachel would NOT be forced to compete on the series.

This spring, a critic Tweeted the following:

“I love Gabby and Rachel but there’s no way this doesn’t pit these two against each other. Every guy is gonna be asked the same question ‘who do you like more!’”

Replied Fleiss at the time: “Not true! You’ll see…”

The Bachelorette premieres July 11 at 8/7c ET on ABC.
