Seeking Season Wife Season 4 kicked off this month with a number of pressing questions:
Why weren’t Dimitri Snowden and Ashley Snowden asked back? (Answer: Because they are abusive, alleged rapists.)
Was newcomer Marcus Epps really involved in a fatal shooting at an abandoned building he helped turn into a nightclub? (Answer: Yes.)
And also, why haven’t the Merrifields been reunited with Roberta?!?
For those unaware, Garrick and Danielle Merrifield are based in Colorado.
But they spent a bulk of their time on Seeking Sister Wife Season 3 trying to woo a third partner, Roberta, who happens to reside in Brazil.
Garrick met this potential spouse on a polygamist dating site and even divorced Danielle soon afterward in order to help Roberta earn a K-1 Visa and legally enter the United States.
Heck, Garrick even tried to have a baby with Roberta at one point last year.
Sounds like a totally healthy romantic arrangement he has going on, huh?!?
“It’s hard to see my son-in-law with another woman,” Dannielle’s mother said on the previous season finale. “I hope Dannielle is making the right decision in all of this.”
Dannielle was married to Garrick for a dozen years before their divorce, and also confessed last year that she’s had her doubts about… all of this.
“I do want to be supportive and I know the goal is for Garrick and Roberta to ultimately start a family together” she said on air at the time.
“But with the pandemic going on and also communication with Roberta being very spotty [as she remains in Brazil], yeah — I don’t know.”
Makes perfect sense to us.
Thankfully for Dannielle, we suppose, she hasn’t yet had to deal with the actual presence of Roberta on a daily basis.
During a recent episode, the Merrifields actually met up with potential fourth wife named Lea — and Garrick broke down in tears because he was at last able to video call with Roberta for the first time in a long time.
Her service really isn’t very good in South America.

The thing is, Roberta does, reportedly, have a Visa.
She hasn’t made a trip to the United States, however, because her mother has apparently been sick.
Based on what we’ve seen on air to date, the Merrifields have no idea when they’re going to see Roberta again, despite Garrick making it clear (in pretty gross fashion) that he wants to start the “baby-making process again” in the near future.
It is possible, though, that the couple visited Roberta just a few days ago.
On June 18, Danielle posted on Instagram that she and Garrick (who she calls her “King.” Yuck.) were actually in Mexico.
“We made it to Mexico!” she wrote as a caption to a social media photo.
“I am so blessed to share this life with you my handsome King.
“I look forward to all that God has ahead of us. He has kept us strong through all the trials and shown us his true love.”
So there you (sort of) have it. It’s a very confusing, and fairly icky, situation.
And now complicating matters on Season 4? That whole part about Lea.
“Roberta has been very insecure and jealous,” Dannielle said on a Season 4 episode of Roberta’s reaction to yet another woman getting brought into the picture.
Added Lea herself:
“Me and Bert’s relationship right now isn’t great. It’s definitely something we’re going to have to work through. It’s going to take time.”
