As it turns out, the critics may have been right last year.
Perhaps TLC should have pulled the plug on Seeking Sister Wife.
This opinion stemmed at the time from the reality show giving a platform to Dimitri Snowden, someone h/as been accused by multiple women of abuse and assault.
One former partner has said that Snowden raped her.
Executives at least didn’t bring Snowden back for Season 4, which premiered this month with a handful of new cast members
One of them is Marcus Epps.
And he seems like quite the sleaze ball as well!
Previously, we detailed how Epps was actually involved in a homicide back in October 2020 after someone was killed inside of a building he was leasing and profiting off of as a nightclub.
Epps was caught on camera carrying out a woman who had been shot in this same incident.
Five months after the club shooting, Epps – who served as a local councilman in Ohio back then — got caught up in yet another scandal related to a property to which he was connected.
On March 26, 2021, a 19-year-old woman suffered minor injuries after a house located in the 25000 block of Tungsten Avenue caught fire.
There was talk that the home in question violated certain housing code sections, although Epps told a 19 News that he was being set up and that the scandal was just “political” nonsense.
We can’t say for sure whether or not that’s true.
But we just learned that Epps himself previously said for certain that he was guilty of domestic violence.
According to The Sun, Epps was arrested on March 5, 2008 … stemming from an incident that took place back on October 7, 2007.
In addition to first degree misdemeanor domestic violence, the reality star was also charged at the time with domestic violence: menacing, which is a 4th degree misdemeanor.
Marcus was given a $5,000 bond and, based on court records, his Marcus’s current wife and co-star, Taryn Lindsey, paid the court $524 the same day Marcus was booked and released.
Epps would eventually cut a deal and plead no contest to a lesser charge of disorderly conduct.
He was found guilty of this charge in April of 2008 and the two domestic violence charges were dismissed as a result of the plea deal.
As for the victim of his alleged attack?
All we know is that it was NOT Taryn nor his first wife.
This arrest took place 14 years ago and the details aren’t really known all this time later.
But Epps has quite the history of questionable behavior, which shouldn’t come as a huge shock for someone with 10 kids.
Maybe, just maybe, there’s something morally questionable about the entire premise of a show based on a man trying to collect as many women as possible in one household.
Maybe TLC should finally stop giving a paycheck and a voice to anyone who thinks this is a reasonable idea.
