As we prepare for Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Final, it’s important to acknowledge where we’re at. This series has not been kind to me. I want to get that out there. I seem to be a game early or late repeatedly.

I don’t want to hide from that, and the result will be far fewer plays. I need to work out of this funk, and while I trust the science deployed, it’s best to limit units with things not going our way. Here’s to us getting back to winning ways soon.

Parlay: Ondrej Palat and Anthony Cirelli 2+ shots (+174 FD)

I find both of these Lightning forwards to be great options to get two shots. The volume is there, and they have the hit-rate to boot.

Palat has gone for two or more in every game this series and eight of his past nine games. Cirelli has put on two or more SOG in five of six, and he’s averaged 5.4 attempts per game in this series.

In seven games against New York this season, Cirelli has two-plus six times, and Palat has two-plus against them in six of eight games.

If I were going to increase the legs on this, I would add Nikita Kucherov and Victor Hedman, who have both gotten two shots or more in every game against the Rangers this year.

Jacob Trouba over 2.5 SOG (+120 DK)

We’ve often remarked on the increase in defensemen shots in an elimination game this postseason, with a team hoping to get as many chances as it can at the net.

If the Rangers can continue that trend of increased urgency, I like Jacob Trouba to be a part of it. In this series, Trouba is averaging a mammoth seven attempts per game, and he’s covered his SOG line in three straight. He has 13 SOG in his last three, and at +120 for over 2.5, count me in tonight.

.5u: Jacob Trouba over 2.5 blocked shots (-115 DK)

I’m putting a half-unit on this, and if you have PrizePicks, this is a great one to throw in. I’ve been using it there but never as a publicly tracked play.

The market has opened across most books, and these odds are solid for someone like Trouba. The defensemen has gone over this total in six of his past seven games, tallying 28 total blocked shots in that span.

That’s good for a 4.0 average. Feels like a good path to follow here.

Good luck tonight and enjoy Game 6. Let’s find some wins in this series.
