Pie Insurance, an insurtech company specializing in workers’ compensation insurance for small businesses, has announced two additions to its leadership team. The company has appointed Ekta Aggarwal as chief product officer and Erin Mesick as vice president of finance.
In her new role, Aggarwal will be responsible for scaling the company’s product team and driving innovation. She has more than 20 years of experience leading product and engineering teams. Most recently, Aggarwal led the product and behavioral science team for Microsoft Vivia, Employee Experience Cloud. Prior to Microsoft, she served as general manager of collaborative shopping at Amazon.
In her new role, Mesick oversees the financial planning and analysis team, and is responsible for leading Pie’s strategic finance functions, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and KPI reporting. Prior to joining Pie, she was a vice president at Realtor.com. Before that, Mesick held multiple financial leadership roles at hyper-growth, venture-backed companies. She began her career in investment banking.
