Ozzy Osborne climbed out of a wheelchair a day after undergoing grueling surgery to adjust pins inserted into his neck and spine following a near-fatal ATV crash and subsequent fall.

The Black Sabbath rocker, 73, appeared frail as he was pushed into a Los Angeles hospital parking lot Tuesday as wife Sharon, 69, looked on.

But moments later, Ozzy showed there’s life in the elderly hellraiser yet as he lifted himself out of his wheelchair, and climbed into a waiting Range Rover.

A hospital worker stood close to Ozzy to offer help in case the rocker lost his balance, but ultimately did not need to step in.

He was snapped wearing his trademark black t-shirt and jeans, accessorized with a white neck brace and blue surgical mask.

Ozzy, who also suffers from Parkinson’s disease, now faces a lengthy period of convalescence, a spokesman told Page Six

A nurse has been hired to help him through his recovery.

Ozzy underwent the spinal surgery just a day prior to his discharge.

The singer almost died in a quad bike crash at his British estate in 2003.

And in 2019 he fell, exacerbating his previous injuries, and forcing surgeons to insert 15 screws into his neck, Page six reported.

Ozzy revealed plans for the operation in an interview with Classic Rock last month, saying: ‘I’m just waiting on some surgery on my neck.’

‘I can’t walk properly these days. I have physical therapy every morning. I am somewhat better, but nowhere near as much as I want to be to go back on the road.’

Devoted wife Sharon, who’ll celebrate her 40th wedding anniversary with Ozzy on July 4, said the outcome of the surgery would ‘determine the rest of (Ozzy’s) life’.

After the operation, she took to social media with an update to say her spouse was ‘doing well and on the road to recovery.’

Sharon added: ‘Our family would like to express so much gratitude for the overwhelming amount of love and support leading up to Ozzy’s surgery.

‘Your love means the world to him.’

In April, Ozzy contracted COVID-19, forcing Sharon to flee London – where she is hosting a new TV show – to care for him in Los Angeles.

He later recovered, but Sharon’s distress at her husband’s diagnosis betrayed her worries for his health.

Ozzy first got hooked on alcohol and drugs during the 1970s, and took his first trip to rehab in 1984.

He has since sobered up, and credits turning his back on booze and substances with his survival.

Sharon and Ozzy are parents to three children – Amy, 38, Jack, 36, and Kelly, 37.

Jack and Kelly have both spoken of their own battles with addiction. Jack got hooked on painkiller OxyContin following a multiple sclerosis diagnosis, while Kelly began using heroin as a teenager.

Both say they’re now sober, although Kelly, who is pregnant with her first child, checked into rehab again in 2021 after falling off the wagon during COVID lockdowns.
