Seven-time Grammy winner Madonna confessed that she’s in ‘deep despair’ about the Supreme Court overturning of Roe v. Wade last Friday and is ‘scared’ for her four daughters, including her eldest Lourdes ‘Lola’ Leon.

‘I woke up [Friday] to the terrifying news that Roe v. Wade had been overturned and that legislation has decided that we no longer have rights as women over our bodies,’ the 63-year-old Queen of Pop – who boasts 48.3M social media followers – wrote on Sunday.

‘This decision has plunged me and every other woman in this country into deep despair. Now the supreme court has decided that women’s rights are no longer constitutional rights. In fact we have less rights [than] a gun. I am scared for my daughters.

‘I’m scared for all women in America. I am just plain scared. I guess God put this on our shoulders right now because he knew that we were strong enough to bear the weight. Strong enough to fight! Strong enough to overcome. And so we shall overcome! We will find a way to make it a federal law to protect abortion rights! Ladies are you ready to fight?’

Madonna – who was raised Roman Catholic – also included a snap of herself posing with 16-year-old daughter Chifundo Mercy James Ciccone, whom she adopted from Malawi in 2009.

Michigan-born Madge’s (last name Ciccone) Instagram post received glowing comments from Uncut Gems alum Julia Fox, nineties supermodel Naomi Campbell, and her longtime BFF Debi Mazar.

The Frozen hitmaker mothered Lola from her two-year relationship with Belleon Body co-creator Carlos Leon, which ended in 1997.
