Embattled Housewife Sutton Stracke isn’t the only one facing accusations of racism these days.

Lisa Rinna got absurdly defensive on her Instagram Story … in a way that many felt was downright racist.

Fortunately, Lisa does know that she was wrong.

The RHOBH star is now offering a somber apology, blaming her outbursts upon grief from losing her mother.

Lisa Rinna Stares at Her Phone Dubiously
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 trailer shows Lisa Rinna stare at her phone, unconvinced.

Recent social media posts have made it clear that this is not Lisa Rinna’s finest hour.

“We fight on our show,” she began.

“If we fight with Garcelle,” she complained, “we are all of a sudden called racist.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna tells her castmate and former friend to STFU for once.

“That’s bulls–t,” Lisa declared.

“I will not accept that,” she then wrote.

“I will express myself when and how I want,” Lisa asserted, “and I am not afraid of any of you hoes.”

“And if you are just so triggered by our show,” Lisa continued unwisely.

“And a lot of you pussies are,” she accused.

Lisa then suggested that these critics simply “go watch Dubai.”

That is a pretty twisted message to send to fans of a show — and even to critics.

Not every accusation of racism is made in bad faith, and Lisa’s defensiveness is unbecoming.

Also? That’s not what “triggered” means and we as a society should never let that slide.

Lisa Rinna is Taken Aback
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna is surprised by her daughter’s list of desired accommodations.

Fortunately, Lisa Rinna clearly realized that her Instagram Story posts were out of control.

In a public post, she shared a quote about grief and how it impacts people.

Her caption made it clear that the quote is very connected to her ill-advised words.

“I have had a really rough time of it,” Lisa Rinna began her Instagram caption.

“I think you’ve seen how hard this has hit me,” she acknowledged.

“I’m sorry if I’ve raged on you, about you,” she expressed.

Lisa openly admitted that “it really has nothing to do with any of you.”

She lamented: “I never thought I would feel this way.”

“I really thought grief would be about sadness and pain,” Lisa wrote, “but it’s so much more.” Yes, it is.

“I am really struggling,” Lisa noted in a moment of raw vulnerability. We can understand that.

She commented: “I just never thought it would feel like this, but here it is.”

Lisa then wrote: “Losing my Mom has really hit me hard.”

“Thank you for your patience with me,” Lisa wrote to her fans.

“I know it’s not easy to have warm fuzzies for me right now,” she acknowledged.

“But I’ll get through this,” Lisa affirmed, “and hopefully come out the other side stronger and better.”

“Thank you for your support and your love,” Lisa wrote.

She concluded her post: “I so so appreciate it.”

Lisa then punctuated her Instagram caption with a series of peaceful emojis.

Lisa Rinna gave a pretty decent apology there. Not an especially good one, but not a bad one.

It’s up to fans to decide whether she was explaining her emotional state or making excuses. Or both.

We expect bad behavior from reality stars. It’s good that Lisa at least knows how to apologize. Sometimes.
