Sad news from the world of reality television today, as a beloved young star has passed away long before his time.
Lane Fernandez, who gained fame from his appearances on Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant has died at the age of 28.
Lane starred in two seasons of the popular spinoff as the boyfriend of Malorie Beaver.
His death comes just three weeks after Lane welcomed a son with his wife, Kylee Rose Fernandez.
No cause of death has been revealed to the public.
Kylee confirmed the news of Lane’s passing in a Facebook post that appeared on Monday.
“I’m so lost without you babe… I love you to the moon and back and I know you’re watching out for us,” she wrote.
“I will forever miss you. It’s always been you.”
Kylee went on to pay tribute to Lane’s talents as a father.
“Nolyn, Emerson, and I love you so much and you were an amazing father, dog dad, and husband,” she wrote.
Emerson is Lane’s daughter with Malorie.
Nolyn is his son with Kylee, who the couple welcomed just three short weeks ago.
Malorie’s sister, Teen Mom star Rachel Beaver, shared the above photo of Lane and Emerson.
“I can’t even begin to express the pain I feel right now,” she captioned the image.
“Gone too soon … Rest easy Lane.”
In one of his final social media posts, Lane took to Facebook to share a Mother’s Day tribute to Kylee.

“Happy Mother’s Day to my Queen! Me and the dogs love you so much and are thankful for you every single day. I can not wait to meet our baby boy,” he wrote.
“I hope you have a wonderful day you deserve it”
Malorie paid tribute in her Instagram Story, sharing a video of Lane playing with Emerson.
She captioned the clip simply, “RIP.”
During their time on MTV, Lane and Malorie often feuded over custody of Emerson.
But we’re sure Malorie’s grief at having lost her former partner and the father of her child is genuine.
It might be a while before we find out what caused Lane to pass away so tragically young.
But in the hard, that’s not what’s important about this story.
Lane accomplished an awful lot during his short time on earth, and clearly, he’ll be greatly missed by many.
