Welp.
This explains it, you guys.
For years now, celebrity gossip followers and MTV viewers have asked a simple question when it comes to Kailyn Lopez:
WHY?
Why, dear God why, did Kailyn continually go back to Chris Lopez back in the day?
Yes, the Teen Mom 2 star appeared to have legitimate feelings for her ex-boyfriend back when they had unprotected intercourse and created their first son together, Lux.
But then Lowry took out a restraining order against Lopez.
AND THEN PROCEEDED TO SLEEP WITH LOPEZ AGAIN, MAKING A SECOND CHILD WITH THIS SEEMINGLY TOXIC LOVER.
“I know that the situation is not ideal,” Lowry said in February 2020 upon announcing she was pregnant again with Lopez’s child.
“However, the absolutely untrue and defamatory statements people are making about me because of this are out of hand…
“At the end of the day, I have three children that are happy, healthy and wonderful kids.
“I know I’m prepared to raise another baby on my own and we are all so excited to welcome him into our family.”
This brings us to the latest installment of Lowry’s podcast, Barely Famous.
Speaking to guest Sofia Franklyn about casual sex, Lowry quipped on air: “I tried it one time and now I have two kids with him.”
This was obviously a reference to Lopez.
“He was the one that lives in the shed and has the mattress on the floor,” added Kailyn, hurling some shade at her ex.
“But he probably had the best d-ck ever,” responded Sofia.
“He did, yeah,” agreed Kailyn, who then burst out laughing.
So there you have it.
There’s the reason why Lowry simply couldn’t stop taking trips to Pound Town with Chris Lopez.
She couldn’t stop it, apparently, despite Lopez allegedly trying to end her life at one point.
“Chris almost killed me in October 2019 by domestic violence,” Lowry told Dr. Drew Pinsky on this spring’s Teen Mom reunion special.
“I just haven’t figured out the right time or way to tell my whole story,” Lowry added.
“I don’t think it’s something that people openly talk about.”
To her credit, Lowry appears to be moving on at last.
She’s dating someone named Elijah Scott, and it sounds like she’s done with reality television.
“I need to move on, I think I need to do my own thing,” she told Dr. Drew in May.
“I think this needs to be my farewell.
“I think I’m ready, I think that we should just part ways, I think this should just be the end.”
Will Lowry stick to this vow?
Will she really walk away from Teen Mom 2?
We’ll soon find out.
We just hope she never walks back into Chris Lopez’s bedroom.
