Justin Bieber’s grandmother was involved in a a fiery car crash in Ontario this weekend, TMZ reported on Saturday.
The singer–songwriter’s step-grandmother Kathy, on his father Jeremy’s side, was reportedly hit while stopped in her car on a city street.
News of the crash broke via a Facebook public community page dedicated to classic cars in the Stratford area. DailyMail.com has reached out to representatives for Bieber for comment on the crash.

A photo of the aftermath of the incident made the rounds on the popular social media site with smoke billowing from the red and white convertible.
Brandan Stevens, who may be related to the Baby singer, reportedly posted that he was in the accident alongside Kathy.

When asked by other Facebook users what happened, he wrote on the site, ‘we were at a dead stop as a car was turning left a couple cars in front of us. Then a distracted driver rear ended us they say she had to be doing 70.’
He continued, ‘Wasn’t good had to pull my grandmother out of car. could have been very bad if we were in there for even another 5 seconds as the doors were binded shut.’
Kathy has posed alongside the car in the past, and she and Justin have stood in several pictures together, though admittedly not in several years.
