Because we’re telling ya, Jim Bob, you’re not gonna want to see what your daughter Jinger wore in her latest red carpet pics!
Now, there’s absolutely nothing out of the ordinary about how Jinger dressed for the occasion.
If anything, sported a rather conservative look.
And the event was not some glitzy Hollywood party — quite the opposite, in face.
Jinger was attending a graduation party for her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, who recently obtained his master’s degree from a Los Angeles-based divinity school.
Seems like the sort of thing that an evangelical like Jinger’s dad would approve of wholeheartedly.
Of course, if you know anything about Jim Bob, you know that he pretty much doesn’t approve of anything.
And if you’ve been following the family for any length of time, then you’re probably familiar with the infamous Duggar dress code.
If not, allow us to fill you in:
The code is one of the many ways in which Jim Bob and Michelle keep their children obedient and repressed.
And like most of the family’s rules, these ones are disproportionately harsh on women and girls.
Duggar women are forced to “modestly” at all times.
That means long skirts and loose, billowy blouses, even while playing sports or engaging in other outdoor activities.
Jinger was the first to break away from those ridiculous rules.
Shortly after she married Jeremy, Jinger started wearing pants.
(Yes, she needed her husband’s permission in order to do so. Even the most progressive Duggars are astonishingly old-fashioned.)
And in the years since, she’s been taking even bolder (by Duggar standards) risks with her attire.
We’ve seen Jinger wearing shorts, and tops that expose her shoulders, and all kinds of other clothing that Jim Bob definitely does not approve of.
And in her latest pic, Jinger is wearing high heels and what some fans believe is her shortest skirt to date.
She’s certainly not Jim Bob’s most disappointing child, but he probably has very strong feelings about Jinger’s most recent fashion statement!
Jinger is the first member of her family to relocate outside of Arkansas, and it seems that she’s becoming more California-fied all the time.
Jinger wrote on Instagram that she and Jeremy celebrated his graduation by climbing the famed “Calabasas stairs, and “relax[ing] after a busy few weeks.”
You might know Calabasas as the home of the Kardashians.
We highly doubt that Kim and company have any intention of hanging out with Jinger and Jeremy.
But just knowing that they live in the same general vicinity is probably enough to send shivers up Jim Bob’s spine!
And obviously, we’re big fans of anything that makes the wretched Jim Bob even the slightest bit uncomfortable.
