Rehabilitation owner and operator Encompass Health Corp. and nonprofit healthcare organization BJC HealthCare (St. Louis) are building a 40-bed, freestanding inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Town and Country, Mo.
The new facility will be a satellite location of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, an affiliation of BJC Healthcare and Encompass Health.
The project will offer physical, occupational, and speech therapies and feature private patient rooms, a therapy gym, activities of daily living suite, cafeteria, dining room, pharmacy, and therapy courtyard.
After the hospital opens, BJC HealthCare plans to relocate its existing 20-bed rehabilitation unit from Missouri Baptist Medical Center (St. Louis) to the new hospital.
