Elon Musk has been spotted out and about in Venice while some of his seven children boarded a boat a day after the family enjoyed a surprise visit with Pope Francis in Rome.
The Tesla and SpaceX CEO was seen by the docks in the Italian City on Sunday alongside his security entourage.
Meanwhile, Musk’s son Griffin, 18, as well as his 16-year-old triplets Damian, Kai and Saxon were pictured boarding a water taxi on Saturday after leaving a 5-star hotel.
A day earlier, the teenagers and Musk met Pope Francis at the Vatican in Rome. ‘Honored to meet @Pontifex yesterday,’ Musk tweeted in the early hours of Saturday morning.
Four of Musk’s teenage children attended the visit whilst his fifth teen, previously known as Xavier, did not after she announced last month she’s now a transgender woman called Vivian Jenna Wilson, and that she no longer wishes to be associated with her billionaire father.
Musk broke his nine day Twitter silence to share a picture of their surprise visit to see the pontiff – and even joked about his ill-fitted suit.
Musk conceded that the black tailored outfit he was wearing was not befitting of the occasion, replying to a Twitter user who mocked it by answering: ‘My suit is tragic.
Musk has spoke of being an atheist, so it is unclear why he decided to meet the pope, and what the two men discussed.
Musk was married to Damian, Kai and Saxon’s mother, Canadian author Justine Wilson, from 2000 until 2008.
Their first son, Nevada, was born in 2002 and died of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) at 10 weeks. Musk and Wilson went on to have five children: twin sons – Xavier and Griffin, 18 – and triplet boys: Damian, Kai and Saxon, now 16.

Elon Musk on Friday tweeted a photo of him meeting the Pope, accompanied by four of his five teenage children
The five teenagers have kept a fairly low profile, despite their father having joint custody.
Musk also two other children, X Æ A-Xii and Exa Dark Sideræl, who goes by Y, with Canadian singer Grimes.
Musk was not raised a Catholic.
The 50-year-old South African billionaire was baptized when he was young and attended Anglican Sunday School, but has said he does not consider himself a Christian.
In January, Musk told Babylon Bee: ‘I agree with the principles that Jesus advocated. There’s some great wisdom in the teachings of Jesus, and I agree with those teachings.’
He continued, ‘Things like ‘turn the other cheek’ are very important, as opposed to ‘an eye for an eye’. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind.
‘Forgiveness is important and treating people as you would wish to be treated. ‘Love thy neighbor as thyself.’
‘But hey, if Jesus is saving people, I mean, I won’t stand in His way.
‘Sure, I’ll be saved. Why not?’
Friday’s tweets marked a return to the platform by Musk after a nine-day hiatus.
He returned with a tribute to a YouTube gamer, who died of cancer.

With an image of Sonic the Hedgehog, the picture was captioned: ‘Popular Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade with 12 Billion subscribers recently passed away at the age of 23 due to cancer, and this made [me] realize that cancer is [an] absurd piece of literal garbage and death, but also try to live your best life with people who know. They could die the following day, and you would regret not doing things with them.’
He also posted a photo of him celebrating his 40th birthday in Venice with his then-wife, British actress Talulah Riley.
‘Venice, a site of Great Remembrance.’
He admitted: ‘Feeling … perhaps … a little bored?’
