You might be thinking that you’re seeing double while watching House of the Dragon. The Cargyll twins stepped up in a major way when the search for Prince Aegon was on. Elliott Tittensor and his brother have key roles to play in the HBO series.
Who is Elliott Tittensor? This isn’t the 32-year-old English actor’s first rodeo with a major television series. HollywoodLife has rounded up 5 key things you need to know about Elliott.
1. Elliott plays Ser Erryk Cargyll in House of the Dragon.
Elliott made his first appearance as Ser Erryk Cargyll in the series premiere of House of the Dragon. Erryk was a member of King Viserys I Targaryen’s Kingsguard during his reign. After Viserys’ death and the Hightowers’ decision to crown Aegon the new king over Rhaenyra Targaryen, Erryk defected and helped Rhaenys Velaryon escape King’s Landing.
He brings Viserys’ crown with him to Dragonstone in the season finale and swears his allegiance to Rhaenyra. As we know from George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, Erryk becomes Rhaenyra’s personal protector.
2. Elliott’s twin brother also stars in House of the Dragon.
Elliott’s identical twin brother, Luke Tittensor, plays Ser Arryk Cargyll in the HBO series. Arryk does not follow his brother to Rhaenyra’s side. Arryk becomes a member of Aegon’s Kingsguard.

3. Elliott rose to fame in the original Shameless series.
Elliott is best known for playing Carl Gallagher in the U.K. version of Shameless. Elliott and Luke both played the character in the first season. Elliott eventually took on the role solo after his brother left the show. Elliott starred on the show from 2004 to 2013.
4. Elliott has been a tattoo artist.
Elliott frequently showed off his tattoo artwork on his Instagram page. He began working as a tattoo artist in 2017. “I’ve tried to write something about a million times but I can’t put into words how amazing today has been! I just want to thank @odbmav for being the best Jedi master & letting me express myself through these means,” Elliott wrote.
5. Elliott previously dated Kaya Scodelario.
Elliott and Kaya dated from 2009 to 2014. Kaya is known for her roles in Skins and The Maze Runner movies.
