Stassi Schroeder and Brittany Cartwright both got fired from Vanderpump Rules when Bravo decided to purge the show of its most problematic cast members back in 2020.
But it seems the former castmates lives are still loaded with drama and petty feuds!
The current round of trouble centers around Stassi’s recent wedding to Beau Clark in Italy.
The couple was already legally married — having tied the knot in a low-key ceremony during the pandemic — but this was their big dream wedding, the one with all of their family and friends in attendance.
Or perhaps we should say most of their family and friends.
On a recent episode of her podcast, Stassi revealed that Brittany and husband Jax Taylor RSVP’d to the wedding but revealed at the last minute that they would not be attending.
Stassi never mentioned Jax and Brittany by name, but it was abundantly clear whom she was referring to.
“So yeah, there is a couple who did not come to our wedding,” Schroeder began.
Beau chimed in and noted that Brittany and Jax boasted to countless mutual friends that they would not be making the trip to Italy.
And many of those friends then snitched to Beau.
“By the end of it, it was so laughable that I put all the screenshots in an album in chronological order,” Clark said.
Stassi went on to describe the moment that Taylor and Cartwright finally deigned to inform her that they would not be at the wedding.
“Then not 24 hours before — the day we’re leaving for our flight to go to Rome — two hours before we leave the house,” she recalled.
“I get a text from the girl part of this relationship saying, ‘We’re not coming,’ with many, many reasons as to why they’re not coming. It was a novel,” Schroeder continued.
“Two hours before I‘m about to go to the airport to get married I get a text from friends that are supposed to be our close friends that they’re not going to make it. It was so mind-blowingly insane.”
Clark noted that he believed Jax and Brittany were “lying” about their reasons for skipping the nuptials.
“This is supposed to be our happy sendoff … I was sitting there going like, ‘Really? This is the type of people we’re having in our lives?’ I just want good people in my life,” he said.
Stassi added that Jax and Brit made the situation worse by “talking sh-t” about her and Beau, and joking to mutual friends that despite the RSVP, they never had any intention of going to the wedding.
“It’s not about the fact that you guys didn’t come,” Schroeder explained.
“It’s the way you handled it. You obviously don’t care that much about us or have that much love and respect for us to communicate and handle it in a respectful way and I’m not here for it.”
During a recent appearance on something called the “Betches Moms” podcast, Brittany offered her side of the story:
“We had actual reasons why we couldn’t go that were not talked about. Like Cruz’s passport didn’t come in, my mom had a death in the family and had to go home,” Cartwright said.
“That was not the case. It was that I was literally trying to be there, up until the very last minute.So there was a lot of things that were going on,” she continued.
“I just felt terrible about it altogether because that’s just not my personality, I would never try to put my friend in that situation,” Cartwright added.
“I don’t know, I just hope that one day we can talk about it, figure it out and get past it over time. I’m just gonna give her time.”
We’d say that this situation might require a little bit more than just time.
But it’s worth noting that the current and former members of the Vanderpump cast are pretty much constantly feuding, and they usually get over it eventually.
Of course, many of the old beefs were settled when the combatants were forced together for filming — and Stassi and Brittany will probably never be on camera together again.
Fans have noted that Stassi and Beau have both unfollowed Jax on Instagram — but they’re still following Brittany.
So maybe there’s still hope for a reconciliation!
