Adele beams as she celebrates Pride by wrapping herself in a rainbow flag and waving it in the air while performing at BST Hyde Park Festival

Adele looked nothing short of sensational as she took centre stage on Saturday at the BST Hyde Park Festival in London wrapped in a Pride flag.

The singer, 34, who took to the stage for her second public concert since she headlined two Wembley concerts in 2017, wowed the 65,000-strong crowd. 

The award winning artist performed her hit When We Were Young in the bejewelled ensemble glistened under the bright stage lights as she draped the rainbow flag over her shoulders.

She styled her blonde tresses in loose waves as they cascaded down past her shoulders as she raised her arm in the arm allowing the Pride flag to blow in the wind. 

Earlier in the day, floats lined Park Lane as revellers were seen wearing face paint, glitter, jewels and sequins as they walked from Hyde Park Corner to Whitehall to mark the 50th anniversary of the UK’s first LGBT+ parade. 

Organisers called it the ‘biggest and most inclusive event in history’ as the historic event took place in central London.

Adele performed her first track, Hello, to the mammoth audience as well as tracks from her latest record 30, including I Drink Wine.

She also performed some of her more classic hits such as Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You.

Adele has previously been plagued with vocal issues, but she kept them at bay during the performance by sipping on a hot drink to sooth her throat.

It marked the second public show Adele has played since she headlined two Wembley concerts in 2017. She postponed her Las Vegas residency in January.

On Friday, the star held back tears as she addressed the audience and told them she was ‘f**king s****ing herself’ after performing her first song.

She shouted ‘I’m so happy to be back’ as she looked out across the mammoth crowd.

Before taking to the stage, Adele was supported by all an female line-up, including Kasey Musgraves, Gabrielle and Self Esteem.
